BDS Bridge Programs

The BDS Minerva Prep Program is a 24-week English intensive program designed to help prepare G7-G9 students for the BDS.MB program for the following academic year. Students will attend a variety of English intensive classes with the objective of expediting their English skills and preparing them for the Minerva Baccalaureate. The classes will be integrated with technology and be designed to prepare students’ critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills. Students will also attend various meditation and afterschool activities to help develop their personalities and prepare them to become global citizens. Students are expected to have intermediate English abilities and mastery of Algebra level mathematics. o can participate in various school offline events such as Sports day, Prom party. BDS Homeschooled students also can enjoy short-term camp or school trips to develop ones' socializing skills.

Curriculum Overview

MP English Composition
MP English Composition is a writing class revolving around narrative, descriptive, expository and persuasive writing. Students learn the fundamentals of various forms of writing as well as fundamental skills such as paragraphs, essays, and thesis statements.
MP Technology
A fundamental feature of the Minerva Baccalaureat is the integration of technology and the MP Technology course is designed just for this. Students improve their digital literacy by learning how to use technology from basic office to graphic design. Students also learn to evaluate digital information through hands-on projects and group activities.
MP Language Arts
MP Language Arts is a course focused upon literacy. Literacy includes reading, writing, and the creative and analytical acts involved in producing and comprehending texts. Students will learn to understand and use language to express their ideas, thoughts, and feelings, and to communicate with others.
MP Critical Thinking Skills (CTS)
MP CTS is a Theme Based Learning (TBL) course designed about various social, political, and innovative topics designed to have students think critically about the world around them. Students engage with the course's themes through various projects and activities. Topics range from ideas such as food justice to current environmental issues.


BDS Bridge Programs

The BDS Bridge Program is a 24-week English intensive program designed to help prepare G3-G7 students for the BDS.ES/JH/HS programs. Students will attend ESL intensive classes with the objective of expediting their English skills. The classes will be integrated with technology and be designed to prepare students’ critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills. Students will also attend various meditation and afterschool activities to help develop their personalities and prepare them to become global citizens. There are no prerequisites to enter this program.
